Besides receiving a piece of hair art and positive vibrations, these creations are super easy to install, as they come tied to a hairband or clip. No braiding is required, but it certainly can be done if so desired. Simply enjoy wearing them, and easily remove them when showering or going to bed for comfort and keeping them in good shape.

These hand crochet and braided art pieces are made by the artist Sparkle. She works with both synthetic and human hair while incorporating repurposed/ new fabrics and jewelry. During the creation process, she surrounded by the most amazing crystals and gems for positive vibrations whilst also using custom made intentional essential oils.

These intentional art pieces are unique and can range from 1 single hair-wrap to hair-wraps/braids/dreads that have multiple dreads/braids to create a ponytail and space-bun dread sets. The many different looks that Sparkle creates are based off whatever so inspired US during our intention setting. We explore your passions, desires and how do you plan to wear i.e. your daily use, festivals, burns, raves, or theme parties….YES we can include black-light reactive pieces to stand out from the crowd even at night! Besides looking awesome, recipients have describes the feeling of wearing them as “uplifting” “like a warrior” “like a different person”.

About the artist: Sparkle✨

Someone’s daughter, a mother, a lover, a healer, an artist, raver, burner and promoter of intentional living and self-love.

Born in the Netherlands, Sparkle moved to the United States at the age of 20, to start her amazing new journey of life alone far away from family. Within the first 6 months of living in the states she had learned the language and had embarked on a 6 week from coast to coast to trip to see/learn/witness the beauty of this amazing diverse landscape. She has not stopped traveling since.

She graduated from Purdue University and became a successful executive businesswoman for over 33 years all the while raising kids. While those are accomplishments, Sparkle defines herself as a lover of Art and music and advocate for radical self-expression, self-love, intentional living, and authenticity.

In 2017 she decided to start her own dread journey as part her own personal expression. Sparkle started to create her own synthetic dreads with hair jewelry as she didn’t see what she wanted to “spark up” her look. She did not want to color her hair or braid it in permanently. Before she knew it, Sparkle had friends asking her for custom dread sets as they would gather to set intentions while installing. Ever since she continues to create and guide special souls all over the United States.

Despite having experienced over 21 surgeries, a divorce (happily married now!) and dealing with a rare immune disease, Sparkle strives to keep things in perspective. She continually re-evaluates what is important and how does one navigate this amazing thing called life? Through the process off self-reflection, she has learned the importance of protecting her peace and knowing all the things she does have power over (self-awareness, thinking patterns, the consumption of media, the treatment of others, beliefs, actions).

Her renewed love for life/ herself has produced today’s flourishing version. She has replaced her challenges with providing guidance through intention setting and has developed passions with creative outlets such as creating warrior hair art.
